dasso good. origins

Over a decade ago, I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease and IBS — an experience that completely reshaped how I thought about food, health, and everyday life. What followed were years of relentless trial and error: traveling across the country to see world-renowned specialists, undergoing infusions and chemotherapy, and surviving six months on a strict medical liquid diet. I lost over 35 pounds and was hospitalized several times.

Living with Crohn’s taught me to understand food on a deeper level — how every ingredient affects the body, what triggers bloat or discomfort, and how even “normal” foods can be surprisingly hard on digestion. The more I learned, the clearer it became that most “healthy” products were anything but.

I would spend hours in the aisles searching for nourishing food without hidden compromises. Protein bars were the biggest offenders: either packed with protein but filled with questionable additives, or "clean" but low in protein. After years of my sister encouraging me to create the bar I could never find, we finally decided to do it together — guided by leading doctors and a shared belief that food should feel good to eat.

That’s how dasso good was born — crafted with clean, simple ingredients and a thoughtful formulation inspired by what I wished existed. This isn’t just a snack. It’s a promise: to make eating well simple and deliciously good.
